Staying Healthy during the Covid-19 Outbreak
By now the Covid-19 outbreak isn't new in the media. Everyone knows of this pandemic that has effected so many people. Not only the elderly but the young as well. What have we learned so far about the virus? What can we do to stay healthy and prevent the spread? These are all questions that we should be able to answer ourselves but unfortunately the media is cross examining the cause, effect, and cure. This leaves us uncertain about tomorrow. Social media has allowed many of us to have a peace of mind away from the sadness and being abled to keep in touch with our loved ones and friends. How do we stay healthy and keep our immune system strong and abled to fight this?
What we know now ………..
Covid-19 came about in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The deadly virus has been the cause of at least 100,000 death worldwide. Most people are infected by the virus but are asymptomatic until about 2 weeks after exposure. This allow the virus to spread more due to a person not knowing their status. The recommended social distancing was set at 6 feet but according to the CDC ( Center for Disease Control) Covid-19 can travel up to 13 feet. How can you assure your safety when in public places or around other human lives? Many grocery stores and retail stores have started taking the virus more seriously by limited amounts of people that can enter the store at a time. Walmart has really took a stance at safety by allowing only 10 people in the store at a time in some locations. We are all still at risk because of the everyday commute that we do even with the stay at home order in place. When we go out to pharmacies, grocery stores, and gas stations, we are all in contact with the deadly virus that can only be seen under a microscope.
Symptoms include mild fever, dry cough, shortness of breathe, chills and body aches, tiredness, confusion, digestive issues, pink eye, loss of taste and smell called "Anosmia".
Some have reported other weird symptoms that don't seem related to a flu like virus such as "Coronavirus". Including seizures, hallucinations, and electrical shock feeling in the body. This virus is a creeper because it comes on slowly without harm and hit hard within a few weeks. 80% of people recover and are left with a few breathing problems but its has to come to attention that heart problems is also another lingering effect.
How can we boost our immune system to fight...…..
Keeping the immune system strong is the first line of defense. Foreign particles and pathogens enter the body cavities through the eyes, nose, mouth, wounds, bites that's break the skins barrier and urogenital openings. The role of the immune system is to protect against diseases and other foreign bodies from damaging the body. The body has two immune system function that's innate and adaptive. The innate process is activated by the chemical antigens. The adaptive process creates immune cells to fight that antigen.
The Covid-19 has a way of attacking those cells in people who have immune system disorders such as:
* Type 1 Diabetes
* Rheumatoid Arthritis
* Lupus
* HIV
* Allergies and Asthma ( results of overactive immune system)
* Cancer
* Celiac Disease
* Crohn's Disease
* Endometriosis
* Grave's Disease
and many more. If you have an illness that will or have weakened your immune system, it's time to take charge. Always consult with a medical profession before making lifestyle changes or taking any substance.
One answer to keeping the body immune system in order is by absorbing the correct amount of fruits and vegetables. Juice Plus + are made from the juice of around 30 or so fruits and vegetables. The fruits and vegetables are dried and mixed to make the supplements. Juice plus + has been studied and tried by many as a bridging between the recommended and actual intake. Sometimes its hard to get the actual amount of nutrition the body really needs to stay strong. Broccoli for dinner last night and green beans for dinner Tuesday night just doesn't give you that recommended dose to keep the body going. Juice plus + supports key measures of immune system function in healthcare professionals with direct patients contact; in young law school students; in an elderly population; and in athletic men and women. Juice+ has different products based upon your needs and preference. The supplements contains fruits and vegetables such as:
Orchard blend (fruit): Apple, peach, cranberry, orange, papaya, acerola cherry, pineapple, prune, date and beet.
Garden blend (vegetable): Broccoli, parsley, tomato, carrot, garlic, beet, spinach, cabbage, oat bran, rice bran and kale.
Vineyard blend (berry): Raspberry, bilberry, blueberry, cranberry, pomegranate, concord grape, black currant, blackberry, elderberry, artichoke and cocoa.
and other ingredients such as :
* Folic acid
* Vitamin E
* Vitamin C
* Enzymes
* Dried Probiotics
* Soluble Fiber
* Carotenoids
