Highest Suicide Rate Ever.... Can We Stop It.

In 2011, Las Vegas had the highest suicide rate but that direction has changed. Most of Las Vegas suicide climb came from the hands of gambling. Losing it all meant losing it all. This blog is not about the statistic but more so of what can we do to change those numbers. The world depends on our future children and keeping them head strong is a struggle but isn't impossible. These numbers are the cause of many factors. The trending waves of society, the cruelty of our youth, the social media that isn't so social after all, lost of jobs, fear of poverty, and the pressures of living a life based on the neighbors.

According to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention...... The rates are increasing.

Based on a Stark Statistic, more than 134, 000 people commit suicide yearly in America. These rates are heart wrenching. Most suicides are due to depression in rural areas. New Mexico has the highest rate at 20.4 per 100,000 people. Can we change that? Is it safe to say that this country is based on consequences over prevention. Suicide is a desperate attempt to get rid of suffering and pain. It's hard to completely understand their reasons and how they feel at that moment. If we as a whole can focus more on prevention we can guaranteed save a life.

Did you now that just by saying I love you to a stranger could be the line between life or death. If more people reach out to others and turn direction from selfishness this could save a life. Everyone have ran into someone that seemed as if their world have been turned upside down. Some turn the other cheek and others find a way to make them smile.

Prevention is key........

Understand and being aware of the signs of suicide is essential. Most people show signs of help by verbally expressing their needs and some feel that there is no hope for help and is in complete silence.
